We are a London-based charitable organisation, dedicated to the development of Live Art research, practice and infrastructure.

As a ‘Development Agency’, our vision is to serve, nurture and sustain an expansive Live Art ecology that prioritises learning, practices resistance, centres under-represented artists and invites possibility about what art can be and do.

Founded in 1999, the Live Art Development Agency (LADA) operates from East London and works locally, nationally and internationally. We are the home of the Live Art Research Collection, Live Art Bookshop, and co-ordinators of Live Art UK.

Live Art Bookshop

Live Art Bookshop is a Live Art Development Agency retail and publishing initiative, previously known as Unbound. LADA invests 100% of the profits from Live Art Bookshop into future programmes that support the practices of artists and thinkers. 

Live Art Bookshop specialises in distributing the unruly ideas, methodologies and histories of interdisciplinary live and performance practices, globally. 

We sell a curated selection of hard-to-find publications, media and limited editions, including artists’ books and LADA’s own titles.
